Dr. Hernández Machuca completed his residency in General Surgery at Regional General Hospital No. 110 “Oblatos” and Centro Médico Nacional de Occidente “Lic. Ignacio García Téllez,” IMSS. He further specialized in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at Hospital Civil de Guadalajara “Fray Antonio Alcalde”.

He has contributed to studies on topics such as the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of Atorvastatin in kidney transplantation, and has published his work in peer-reviewed journals.
